I developed a custom-templated WordPress site for this environmental education group with an integrated membership and learning management system. After growing its audience by almost 300% in the first year, it became clear that the basic blog site was not going to support the growth of this organization. The new site boasts interactive design and tiered memberships; so that public users can access certain curricula for free, while grant-funded programming is released on an invite-only basis to participating school districts.
Each lesson had an ecological theme and showcased interactive content that dynamically scaled for mobile platforms. Lessons were searchable by theme and also suggested similar content to users.
The site also features lots of embedded video content (complete with motion graphics and GoPro shots) to keep students engaged with virtual learning.
